Dragonette vs Don Diablo

It has been two years since electropop band Dragonette first burst on to the scene with their debut album ‘Galore’, which Popjustice called “the best album of 2007” and the Guardian called “ace shagtronic pop.”

Don Diablo has been asked to put his magic touch on Dragonette’s forthcoming single ‘Fixin to Thrill’, which celebrates their return to the scene. Pete Tong debuted Don Diablo's remix yesterday, on his BBC Radio 1 show. The single will be out at the end of may, and Dragonette’s 2nd album, also titled ‘Fixin To Thrill’, will be out at the end of the summer.

Introducing: Shizofonics

Schizofonics are Shortie & M, two Dublin-based DJs/Producers bound together by the love of all things BASS!!! DJing together for over 10 years, the lads put their heads together in 2008 and began to make some tunes. It was the success of their first remix, Mustard Pimp’s ‘Zombie’s Revenge’ that inspired them to keep the remixes coming and also to try their hand at some original production. (Schizofonics’ remix is featured on the official release of Zombie’s Revenge).

Their production style is as diverse as their DJ sets, taking inspiration from Electropop to Global Bass and everything in between. This eclectic sound is most evident on ‘Break Free’ their first original production. Half chord based vocal track and half murky bassline banger. ‘Break Free’ has received love and plays from the likes of Detboi and Stereoheroes among others.

Spencer Product delivers 'We Bite' with remixes from London's Tronk Youth and NYC darlings Designer Drugs. 'We Bite', named after one of Spencer's classic lower east side sleezefests is an ode late night debauchery. Downtown basements, PBR, dirty sex, cocaine and vomit...what more could you need? Spencer's original is a distorted electro rock affair while Designer Drugs clean it up a bit for the late night dance floor beatdowns. Tronik Youth keep things very 80's new wave disco with heavy reverbs on the drums, cheap synths and vocoders all the way.
